Gobi is a vast, wild and remote place of huge historical significance. Here in 1922 the American explorer and geologist Roy Chapman Andrews found numerous dinosaur fossils, including dinosaur eggs. These finds have made the Gobi desert one of the most important and famous sites of paleontology in the world. Even now one can find genuine dinosaur fossils with the right guides. Andrews is allegedly the real person that the movie character of Indiana Jones was patterned after. Andrews was an accomplished stage master. We will be accompanied by an Mongolian academic.
